I believe you're asking the wrong (or at least incomplete) audience.
Ask the same question on the Tomcat users list, and try to gauge the
interest level among our user base, rather than the narrower developer
base on this list.
I know there is an interest, at least the small audience that I'm in
touch with,
this was just the soft way of asking, "does anyone feel strongly against
it, and why so" :)
