Our application is running on Tomcat 6.0.45.
Due to security reasons, we are replacing JDK with JRE 1.8.
Tomcat is bundled with ecj-4.3.1.jar.
It's still not able to recompile JSP pages.
We upgraded tomcat version to 8.5 and followed the below link to configure the
JSP compiler.

it's still not working.
Does tomcat require JDK to compile JSP pages ?
