Again, apologies. Planning the conference is enough work (for unpaid
volunteers!) without having to add more layers of complexity like
live-remote speakers. A pre-recorded presentation could work but,
because it would by definition be one-way communication, it's quite a
bit less satisfying than a talk where you can interact with the
presenter, etc.
The ASF is always looking for volunteers to join the planners group.
Feel free to reach-out to the group with your ideas. Remember that your
ideas will often need to be backed-up with your own work to make them
happen :)
