I tested 5.5.22 and 5.0.30. This is not a duplicate of #41017 although it looks like it. We cannot remove a header with setHeader(name,null). The difference it that instead of removing the header from the response, the header values is empty but present (like if we called response.setHeader(name, "")). You can see it with a protocol sniffer like ethereal.
