The 8.5.x tag is currently on hold while I investigate what looks to be a repeatable failure of org.apache.tomcat.websocket.pojo.TestEncodingDecoding with NIO2 on a Windows VM. This is actually a good thing. This test has been failing intermittently. A repeatable failure means a good chance of of finding and fixing the root cause.
