Nothing brilliant comes to mind. "updown"? "startstop"? "launchtest"? Perhaps such a special launch command could provide some output such as "OK" if everything is okay, or some kind of error words/codes which describe what happened. For example, if one of the connectors failed to start properly, we could report that failure.
