At least this time there appear to be some efforts to work to a spec - even if it isn't the RFC. The six characters where there appears to be a difference of opinion between the RFC 3986 and the spec the browsers are working to are: "\", "^", "`", "{", "|", "}" I guess we could consider (optionally) relaxing the query string parsing to allow these but I don't like it.
