I ran the Tomcat 9 unit tests and there are a whole bunch of failures (everything passed with the previous ea release). It looks like some of our memory leak prevention tricks no longer work. That probably means we either need to find a way around the new Java 9 restrictions or we need to raise bugs against the JRE to get them fixed once and for all.
