Maybe the JDK was organized that way in the past, but doesn't seem to be that way any more. Anyways, I don't think it has a purpose currently. If something we're not aware of comes screaming at us, we can add it back in later, but I'm in favor of removing unneeded layers and directories where possible. > I assume native would host apr ?
