Hi Tino. Have you searched the tomcat lists (user mostly I would say) for memory related issues? There have been a large number of posts, including many with pointers - not just assigning more JVM Heap - but actual tewaks, settings, approaches to solving issues in varied cirumstances.
I think they would provide you with a great starting point - as many memory related issues on things like TC are environment specific and also have to do with striking a balance between the OS, TC, and other apps/servers running - as well as considering load etc. Rgds, Carl -----Original Message----- From: Tino Schwarze [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 18 December 2005 16:59 To: dev@tomcat.apache.org Subject: Re: Improving memory efficiency On Sun, Dec 18, 2005 at 05:02:39PM +0100, Remy Maucherat wrote: > >What do you think about this issue? > > It's a fine solution for your "problem", I suppose. There are Tomcat's starving with OutOfMemoryErrors. What would be your approach to solving this (apart from "give tomcat more memory")? Bye+Thanks!
