You should try it out - perhaps it will assist in understanding the specifics of the problem you are having there. You should bear in mind that this is no longer considered a bug, as the issue is pretty well understood now. To re-raise as a bug you would need to be able to demostrate incorrect behaviour by Tomcat's classloaders. There are workarounds for the fact that Tomcat does not allow the service() threads timeout to be configured. Other invalid references to classloaders may be harder to track down, perhaps this is what you are experiencing. I couldn't see any of your stack-traces above.
