Lewis John McGibbney commented on TINKERPOP-1003:
-------------------------------------------------
bq. ugh....we could just make a complete copy and that has been on the table.
I see nothing wrong with this. At the end of the day the most important thing
is that people can use the documentation... not that the process is flawless
(the latter is a preference... not a must).
bq. it also kinda stinks to double copy everything up to the server
The double copy only exists for one version at any given time. I think that
this is not an issue.
bq. this issue is not only to figure out "/latest" but also to fix the SEO
problem we have with old versions of the docs showing up high in search results.
This is a different kettle of fish IMHO. Having worked with NASA dataset
landing pages for a long time (and trying to get them more accurately ranked
within commercially motivated search engine rankings) I know that this is
something which _may_ be achieved over a number of months. I think that this
issue should be tackled on another Jira issue. It is not realistic to think
that you, I or anyone else is going to ensure that /current or /latest or
whatever else is going to be ranked higher than the old aurelius documentation
any time soon.
I sent a PR for the /current issue, would be appreciated if you could review
and provide your thoughts. Thank you [~spmallette]

> It would be good to have {{/latest}} URLs for doc and bins. As well as
> getting old docs dereferenced from search engins
