I’ve run validate-distribution.sh for both 3.5.6 and 3.6.3 as well as quickly
scanning through the docs for both. That all looks good to me. The one concern
that I spotted was there appears to be some missing items in the NOTICE and
licenses for the console and server. Objenesis and byte-buddy both need NOTICE
entries and ANTLR should be included in the licenses directory. After further
inspection these are not new issues. The NOTICE issues seem to have first
appeared in 3.5.4 and the missing ANTLR license dates back to 3.5.2. I don’t
see these issues being significant enough to abort the release especially
considering they’ve remained undiscovered for so long. I would be happy to
submit a PR correcting these issues once the branches reopen after release.
I will give a non binding VOTE +1 for both 3.5.6 and 3.6.3.
