I think we should figure this out and either do it or don't.
The part of me that's lazy thinks we ought to leave it. I was thinking it would
also reduce our code size, but that doesn't matter so much. WRT resources,
since either its our code or File::Temp in memory, I don't think there's a lot
of saving there.
