TL;DR: +1 Longer reply: I agree it would, and I suggest we use a separate repository. I can only talk about build-scripts because I have been tinkering with them. They have a ``historical'' structure that IMHO does not merge well with the current layout of the main source repository (which is already very complex). But I also don't know how much an effort it would require, to make a new Git repository under the Apache ``flag''. I think that whatever repository we choose, it should belong to the Apache Software Foundation. These are just my two cents.
