I suspect a limitation in size, because Marco A. G. Pinto just updated
his English dictionary, which is about 6MB:

https://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/english-dictionaries-apache-openoffice

We have to wait for SourceForge to look into it...

BTW: Do you plan to update the German dictionary (de-DE, de-AT, de-CH)
