Dear Sir: I overlooked something. When you insert a footnote, the default is
automatic numbering. You may override that option, and do your numbering by
hand (or use letters instead of numbers if you wish).

Dear Sir:
If you are using foot notes, I do not think so. However, if you were to use
end notes, where all notes come at the end of the document, then it will work
as desired.

I am writing a book and am using Open Office Writer.
When I insert a footer and put the number "1" in the footer of the 1st page
the number "1" comes up again on the 3d, 5th, 7th.... pages.
Is there some way that I can disable whatever is causing it to do that?
