Our code is free for anyone to use, under a permissive license.  But
it is not clear to me that our code would be particularly useful to
them.

For OX Text, we actually can't use any code of OOo...

But for converting different kinds of documents, we make use of OOo in the backend. We found and fixed some issues, and are contributing back the patches...
