since there needs to be a change in the spec. in any case, it doesn't really
matter which one it is (a new rule that normal converters and validators are in
a wrapper in any case vs. an addition to the api or postponing such
instance-creations to PostRestoreState(Event) so that it's independent from a
specific state-saving impl.).
for the spec. i still prefer an improved api to avoid the need for such
mandatory wrappers.
