There is an strange behavior on borlands application server, IIOP protocol and
IE
First jsf request has no requestHeaderMap and will produce error:
ContentTypeList does not contain a supported content type image/gif
see:
org.apache.myfaces.renderkit.html.HtmlRenderKitImpl.createResponseWriter()
..
selectedContentType =
HtmlRendererUtils.selectContentType(contentTypeListString);
..
will produce an exception in selectContentType()
Patch like this and the default character encoding will be set and everything
works fine
..

} catch (Exception ex) {
log.warn(ex);
}
