yep, that's what the doc says. I read on it.
"lightweight" does mean no complete jsf component tree.
Well, JSF 1.2 and invokeOnComponent could fix that...

also all the empty response, when no change occurred on the back end.
The more you poll, the worse the performance (client and server). See:
