Resolution: Cannot Reproduce
Weeks have passed and after going back and using the released version of
apt-maven-plugin version 1.0-alpha-3 on my project, I can no longer reproduce
this issue. So I guess ignore this until I can reliably reproduce the problem.
Weird.
