The kernel comes from the target apt-get not from your system. Choose
menlow-lpia-ubuntu-hardy-ppa as the platform and you will get the latest
kernel.

Thank you,

Alex

Subject: [Moblin Dev] menlow/lpia kernel and their source

hi all,

i have a crown beach board with Menlow processor having Poulsbo
chipset.
I am running on Ubuntu 2.6.24-19 with Moblin Image Creator v0.45
installed
on it.

case 1:- In image creator, i chose menlow-lpia-ubuntu-hardy as the
platform
and create the target with crown-beach-full-mobile-stack (and its
defaults
only). When i boot the image from a USB I am getting only
"vmlinuz-2.6.24-16-lpia" kernel to boot into. i am on ubunutu 2.6.24-19
and
how come it is only 2.6.24-16? Also with an lipa kernel i cant find its
kernel source (or headers). why ?

case 2:- In image creator, i chose menlow-lpia as the platform and
create
the target with crown-beach-full-mobile-stack (and its defaults only).
When
i boot the image from a USB I am getting
"vmlinuz-2.6.22-31-menlow-default"
kernel to boot into. but it fails to boot getting stuck after this
display
:-

"
ata1 : PATA max UDMA/100 cmd 0x000101f0 ctl 0x000103f6 bmdma 0x0001e060
irq

ata1 : PATA max UDMA/100 cmd 0x00010170 ctl 0x00010376 bmdma 0x0001e068
irq
15
"

why ? please anyone help me.

Thanks and Regards
