I see now that I might have looked offended; no offense taken. I talked about the number of bugs because I wanted to let all of you know that I am planning to fix all the bugs in surefire. Anyone wishing to asssist is welcome, and you are certainly assisting !
Another "interesting" feature of 2.7.X is that it's significantly faster than any other previous version of surefire. Your mileage will vary, but I've had reports of up to 10% performance boost in total build time. So it's smaller, lighter, faster.
