Any reason not to? I only see one webdav specific issue open: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/WAGON-49 which doesn't seem to be a blocker to me. I'm using it as a build extension currently, and it works fine, and I plan to use webdav as our production distribution tool soon. In order to deploy using deploy:deploy-file, it's better if it's installed in MAVEN_HOME/lib (with it's dependencies: slide-webdavlib(?), commons-httpclient, and commons-logging). So the sooner it could make it into a Maven release so that all the rest of my team doesn't have to do that manually, the better for me. :) I imagine it's too late to get it into the upcoming Maven 2.0.5 release, but I hope this can be done for 2.0.6...
