Actually I just republished another snapshot a minute ago, it is working
now for me on m1.0 and m1.1. There was indeed a problem with the
loadText tag as well, it seems in the m1.0 version it didn't understand
the 'encoding' tag.
Let me know how it goes and I commit the changes.
(oh, and revert the jelly changes, it's safer to go with the default! ;) )
