Sorry for being a non-committer but throwing in my two cents anyway: I also use
an open source licence of IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate and the commercial version
with my Scrum teams in several commercial projects, so I knkw a few differences
between Community and Ultimate. I really think that Ultimate (your sponsored
licences) is superior because in addition to the good Maven integration which
is also available in Community you get exclusive features such as
   - integrated code coverage,
   - UML class diagrams from selected classes/packages,
   - embedded Chronon OEM version for post mortem debugging,
   - interactive graphical dependency graphs for Maven projects.

Maybe the last one is also available in Community, I have not double-checked,
but the first three are definitely exclusive.

Bottom line: I think it makes sense to use such a nice gift from JetBrains.
(No, I do not get any money from them, I just like their products.)

Kind regards
