I patched your suggestion in the feature branch
[feature/fix-LOG4NET-538|https://github.com/apache/logging-log4net/tree/feature/fix-LOG4NET-538].
I have however a bad feeling about this change because now dbCmd.Prepare() is
invoked for every log event whereas the db command should be prepared only once
and then be reused for every log event. Would you mind to search for a solution
that prepares the db command only once and also works in your environment?
