Dave Koelmeyer updated JSPWIKI-891:
-----------------------------------
Attachment: JSPWiki-EditorScrolling.mp4
In the attached video screencast we can observe this behaviour.
First, I scroll so you can see the existing total markup for the page.
Next, I position the input cursor with the mouse. Then, as soon as I make
keyboard input (in this example the "up" arrow on the keyboard cursor), the
entire window repositions itself such that the cursor is at the bottom of the
editor window.
This is disorientating because one has to constantly visually readjust to where
one is in the markup, and also leads to a lot of constant clicking and
scrolling.

> This is a little hard to explain but is quite a change from the Plain Vanilla
> editor, and also quite disruptive. I'll attach a video screencast
> demonstrating this.
> In the editor window, whenever keyboard input is made, the editor will
> automatically reposition the display such that the input cursor will always
> appear at the bottom of the editor window. This is jarring, because I cannot
> for example freely navigate in the editor window without having to constantly
> scroll to see markup below where the cursor is currently placed.
