Happy Friday, Apache Geode Developer Community, I wanted to give the community a heads-up before folks spend time troubleshooting their own pull requests or local configurations.
As of today (August 6, 2026), GitHub Actions runs across apache/geode are stuck in a "Queued" state and are not progressing, including CI builds and CodeQL scans. This is due to an active, platform-wide GitHub incident affecting Actions and Pages, not something specific to our repository or workflow configuration. GitHub has confirmed and resolved the incident on their status page: Incident with Actions — Aug 6, 15:22 UTC to Aug 7, 02:04 UTC https://www.githubstatus.com/incidents/qcvjkzcs7j74 Per GitHub's updates, workflow runs failed to start or stalled mid-execution, the Actions REST API returned errors, and some customers saw unexpected rate limiting. Engineers have since mitigated the issue and confirmed system-wide queues have been drained. What this means for you: -If your PR checks appeared stuck or queued earlier today, that was expected and not a sign of a problem with your branch. -Some push and pull request events that occurred during the incident window were not processed and will not replay automatically. If your workflow still hasn't started, please push a new commit, update the PR, or manually re-run the workflow to trigger it. -No other action is needed on your end — the platform-wide backlog has been cleared as of GitHub's last update.
