This is a great reminder that for the first time in Geode history, we have 
multiple active support branches.

It's not necessary to create multiple proposals to backport the same fix to 
multiple support branches.  Just mention “all support branches” or 
“support/1.13 and support/1.12” in your proposal, or for this transition 
period, let’s just assume it’s understood that a proposal to backport covers 
all applicable support branches.

The only rule is there cannot be gaps, i.e. you can’t backport to support/1.12 
only but skip support/1.13

Jinmei, since you already received approval to backport GEODE-8055 to support 
branches, go ahead and cherry-pick your fix to support/1.12 any time.  Please 
also update Jira to add 1.12.1 to the list of fixed versions.
