This is a great reminder that for the first time in Geode history, we have multiple active support branches.
It's not necessary to create multiple proposals to backport the same fix to multiple support branches. Just mention “all support branches” or “support/1.13 and support/1.12” in your proposal, or for this transition period, let’s just assume it’s understood that a proposal to backport covers all applicable support branches. The only rule is there cannot be gaps, i.e. you can’t backport to support/1.12 only but skip support/1.13 Jinmei, since you already received approval to backport GEODE-8055 to support branches, go ahead and cherry-pick your fix to support/1.12 any time. Please also update Jira to add 1.12.1 to the list of fixed versions. > On May 6, 2020, at 9:03 AM, Jinmei Liao <jil...@pivotal.io> wrote: > > I would like to include the fix for GEODE-8055 in the 1.12 support branch. > This would allow users to use gfsh to create an index on sub regions. > > -- > Cheers > > Jinmei
