Hello Geode enthusiasts:

I have some good news to share with you. We're working on a solid showing
for Geode at our SpringOne Platform conference in December. Not all the
sessions have been uploaded to the conference website, but we've created
the page and showcased a few of the sessions
<https://springoneplatform.io/geode>. We're working on getting more of the
details around Geode uploaded to the site. Meanwhile I want to share some
of these details with you in this email.

We're starting on the afternoon of the day before the conference opens, so
that we can get more coverage for Geode. This is really good news
because it gives
us a solid additional half day for Geode, without any competing sessions
running concurrently. In addition to session presentations, we're planning
on using some of this extra time for discussions and community building.

So, here's what it looks like for Geode at the conference.

   - Monday, Dec 4th, 1-6PM: Pre-conference community discussions and
session presentations (Pivotal San Francisco office)
   - Tuesday, Dec 5th thru Thursday, Dec 7th: Additional Geode sessions at
SpringOne Platform (Moscone center, San Francisco)

*Please save the date and register for the conference here
<https://2017.springoneplatform.io/ehome/s1p/registration>* - there's a
special discounted rate that expires on Oct 21st. This registration covers
both, the conference itself, and the pre-conference early start the day
before.

We've got a great lineup of content, both at the conference and the half
day pre-conference. Here's the lineup (still subject to minor changes,
although unlikely):

   - Apache Geode Test Automation and Continuous Integration and
   Deployment, CI-CD (HCSC)
   - Exploring data-driven, cognitive capabilities in PCF (Kyle Dunn -
   Pivotal)
   - Cloud-native data: What is it? Will it solve the Data-DevOps Divide?
(Dormain Drewitz - Pivotal, plus a customer/analyst panel from Southwest
   Airlines, Honeycomb, Redmonk)
   - Real-time Analytics for Data-Driven Applications (Nitin Lamba, Apache
   Geode Project Management Committee)
   - Spring Driven Industrial IoT Utilizing Edge, Fog, and Cloud Computing
   (Barry Wood - RPY Motion)
   - Caching for Microservices - Introducing Pivotal Cloud Cache (Pulkit
   Chandra - Pivotal)
   - Scaling Real-time Spring Boot Applications with Pivotal Cloud Cache on
Pivotal Cloud Foundry (John Blum - Pivotal)
   - RDBMS and Apache Geode Data Movement (HCSC)
   - Apache Geode: an efficient alternative to Kafka-Storm-Spark (Paul
   Perez - Pymma Consulting)
   - Spring Data Geode (John Blum - Pivotal)
   - High Performance Cloud Native APIs using Apache Geode (John Blum -
   Pivotal)
   - Enabling SQL/JDBC Access to Apache Geode Using Apache Calcite
   (Christian Tzolov - Pivotal)

Not all of these have 'Geode' in the session title, but rest assured that
these topics were selected for their relevance to Geode. No doubt you want
to see the abstracts - they will be uploaded to the conference site in the
near term. Plus there will be a tremendous amount of other content at the
conference, some of which is likely to be of interest to you.

I'll follow up with more information in the days to come. Let me know if
you have any questions.
