Build updates for examples
Here are a few changes to fix build and licensing issues:
- Add LICENSE / NOTICE
- Create and sign release artifacts
- Include a travis configuration file
- Automatically download the geode distribution so tests can be automated
I'll create a JIRA to reference this work. Feedback welcome!
