Hi, I am in the progress of updating the site and documentation mainly to help people use DeviceMap once it's archived.
The few words on BrowserMap seem sufficient, there are no actual dependencies between the DDR and BrowserMap, so it requires least guidance or instructions. For clients, especially those already released, help on how to fix and tweak e.g. the data connections are useful and necessary, otherwise people will just find them broken and useless. The release content itself refers to the VM, so that is something the Snapshot builds already addressed and of course building from source will also help to get the right data. For all other downloads, a few words (an online equivalent of the README files) should help so people can adjust clients to work with the final data repository rather than the VM which won't be aound for long. Whether we mention alternate solutions like YAUAA, OpenDDR (including the original one at GitHub) or even Reza's fork, we shall see. Also depends, on how long after the board meeting infra takes to make things read only. The actual attic page should allow a few words or hints even after it was archived like it does to other projects that were archived. Happy Holidays, Werner
