Dear Apache Software Foundation Community Team, I am reaching out to ask how I could contribute to Apache Software Foundation Community as a remote volunteer or open-source contributor. Your work in java, web, data and project communities is closely connected with both my technical interests and my desire to use technology for practical social impact.
I am a final-semester Computer Science student at COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus. My final-year project, HIFAZAT, combines ESP32 sensor data, Firebase, machine-learning models and a Flutter application to assess the safety of water, milk and cooking oil. This work has given me practical experience with Python, TensorFlow, NumPy, Pandas, APIs and data processing. Alongside my technical work, I served as a university ambassador with The Project Suicide mental-health awareness initiative, supporting awareness activities for students. I have also led student teams, coordinated volunteers and helped organize a university event involving around 200 participants. These experiences taught me to communicate responsibly, follow through on commitments and work with people from different backgrounds. I am based in Pakistan and can contribute remotely. I have attached my resume for context. If there is a project, issue, working group or newcomer pathway where my skills would be useful, I would appreciate your guidance on the best place to begin. Thank you for your time. I would genuinely appreciate any direction you can provide.
