We are happy to announce, the ALC Indore[2] successfully organized the
first event in Indore region, the Apache Hackathon on 24 August 2019.

Here are highlights of the event.
# *18 participants* attended the event.
# *10 participants* were new to the Apache Software Foundation world.
# A session is delivered to the participants who are new the ASF world
on the following topics.
-- About the Apache Software Foundation and it's history
-- About the Apache Way
-- What is ICLA and how it should be signed to contribute in ASF
-- Apache Incubator, the process to onboarding any project in
ASF umbrella
-- The foundation structure - Users, Contributors, Committers,
PMC, Officers, Board of Directors....
-- The projects under Apache umbrella,
-- How to pick a project based on your domain interest or
programming language you like
-- Mailing list and it's usage
# *6 people* made their first-ever contribution to Apache projects,
contribution includes patch for the issues
# The participants contributed to the following projects
-- Apache Camel
-- Apache OFBiz
-- Apache Roller
-- Apache Sling
