Hi All: This is a VOTE to release commons-parent 21 based on version 21-RC3.
The VOTE is open until Thursday April 21 16:00 EDT = UTC Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 20:00. Changes: - Upgrade maven-gpg-plugin to 1.2 from 1.1. - Replace deprecated assembly goal "attached" with "single". - Add test jar generation to the apache-release profile (with NOTICE and LICENSE files.) - Removed the downgrade from maven-remote-resources-plugin to 1.0.from version 1.1 to ensure JDK 1.4 compatibility, it is no longer necessary. Maven 2.2.1 (and Maven 3) require Java 1.5 to run; compile/build with Java 1.4 (or indeed 1.3) is achieved by using profiles. Changes since RC2: - Fixed the description in VOTE message explaining removing the downgrade of the maven-remote-resources-plugin. - Upgrade Surefire plugin to 2.8.2 from 2.7.2 (per Sebb's suggestion.)
