Hi all,
I plan to use Cocoon for a project on the starting blocks.
But I need to know if Cocoon 2.2 is ready for a new (big, critical)
project (stable enough in terms of APIs for example), to make the good
choice :).
Recently, some work has been done on the CForms, for example.
Can someone please give me a status on this branch ?
As Grek pointed out, trunk can be considered as stable, except the
recently added servlet-services (aka postable sources) which are
currently under development. If there aren't any unforeseeable
showstoppers we can release Cocoon 2.2RC1 + the most important blocks:
ajax, apples, auth, batik, catpcha, databases, flowscript, fop, forms,
html, mail, template.
The most prominent missing blocks are javaflow, portal, lucene and
serializers. If you don't need them, I'd say use 2.2RC1.
Thank you for your answer, Reinhard. Since I am not planning to use the last
blocks you mentioned, I will go for Cocoon 2.2, so.
And good luck for your release !
