Hi Mark,

Thanks - I have committed your midi block to the Cocoon CVS, adding the ASF license and the proposed notice about Peter's work.
I have successfully tested the MIDI block samples and automated test.
Please cross-check.

We'll be waiting on the MIDISerializer so that we can finally hear how this SAP data sounds ;-)

To Peter:
The Cocoon main site is http://cocoon.apache.org and you can view the code contributed by Mark at http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/cocoon-2.1/src/blocks/midi/

The file that is based on your code is in http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/cocoon-2.1/src/blocks/midi/java/org/ apache/cocoon/generation/

Thanks for your contributions!

Hello Bertrand et al,

I have contacted Peter Loeb with regard to the copyright notice and as you
can see below he seems to be happy with the suggested acknowledgement
notice.

Hi Mark,

First, I agree (meaning I have absolutely no problem) with the notice as
suggested by the commitee. Let me know if I need to do anything further
(such as send them an email) to satisfy their requirements.

<snip stuff about more MIDI related code he has to offer/>

Finally, I'm excited about being part of an Apache project. I did not
expect anything like this when I wrote XMidi. If it is "published" as
part of ASF, please let me know the URL, etc.

Again, best of luck with your project.

Regards,

Peter Loeb
