Hi Cloudberry community, I wanted to let you know that I'll be working on adding Apache Cloudberry support to DBeaver (https://dbeaver.io/) - a popular open-source (Apache License, Version 2.0) universal database tool that provides a unified interface for various database management systems. I plan to use DBeaver's existing Greenplum plugin as a foundation for this effort, which will give us a solid starting point. Since Apache Cloudberry doesn't need to maintain compatibility with multiple major versions like Greenplum does, we can actually simplify the implementation significantly.
I have an initial DBeaver Community version built with all tests passing which provides support for the Apache Cloudberry Podling. The changes need work to clean up the Greenplum version code. I'd welcome any feedback from the community on this effort. In parallel, I will be reaching out to the DBeaver community (https://github.com/dbeaver/dbeaver). For reference, my initial work can be seen here: https://github.com/edespino/dbeaver/tree/apache_cloudberry_incubating. I have attached a few screenshots as well. Best regards, -=e -- Ed Espino Apache Cloudberry & MADlib
