Hi, The RPM packaging was removed from the source tree (CASSANDRA-3567) since it was unmaintained. Does anyone plan to bring RPM packaging back into the source tree?
The reason I ask is that the init script with all the RPM's I've seen can be pretty error prone (unlike Debian, jsvc is not an easy option). I updated the init script to deal with some common errors that I've encountered and submitted them (added to CASSANDRA-3189) but I have no idea how to get them to "the community" instead of managing my own patch set. It seems that DataStax distributes RPM's.....would some one there be interested in this? Cheers! Shyamal
