The best usage of the Mozzilla cert store I found in the wild was the openoffice certificate handling on linux. they simply just use the certificates stored in the Firefox on the same machine. So if your question ask really for the usage of mozilla root certs you can check the code in the OpenOffice. (sorry for the others, who can think, this was not too much info.) Regards.
