Hello,

We are trying to use the ActiveClient version 6.2 middleware with the Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) with Windows 7, 64bit. The middleware works fine for IE, but does not load the device's dll in either Firefox or Thunderbird. Normally, we use the Load button to load the acpkcs2xxx.dll but get a "cannot load" error. So we tried using the x86 version of ActiveClient but it also does not work.

We have resorted to using the previous version 6.1 of ActiveClient, that is offered only in an x86 version, and that seems to work ok, but this version exhibits some "buggy" behavior in IE, i.g. one's personal certificates (there are 3) are not properly identified. The personal certificates window displays 2 entries of one's email certificate and 2 entries of one's signature certficate - but this odd behavior is only in IE.

Has anyone also experienced issues with using this version (6.2, both x86 and 64bit) ActiveClient middleware software in Mozilla? Strange that it seems to work fine with IE....normally, it's the other way around.
