The solution is really to define one standard, if that's keygen, so long...preferable it should be fairly simply with few flags possible to impose by the requesting web site.
I prefer keygen because of it's simplicity and it simply works. Before we can add more sophisticated features, lets get to the point where browsers support something that works across the band.
