Nelson in the bug (to keep out advocacy), I hereby open a thread to work
out the technical details how we could make that work.
Some open questions:
* How to deal with cert expiry
* How to educate admins to manage the private keys
* How to treat self-signed certs in UI after this is implemented
* Other questions which need to be discussed
Please separate advocacy from technical questions as far as possible, by
using different sub-threads.
For the technical questions, please try to concentrate on finding
*solutions* to the problems.
