Hello,

I am quite new with Mozilla crypto. My aim is to port a smartcard-based
application into a Firefox application with Javascript. After surfing
the internet for days I am still unsure about what Mozilla is able to do
with smartcards. I need signing/encrypting/decrypting XML-s. I tried to
investigate the inner structure of window.crypto and pkcs10 so I could
get it asking FF for my SC passphrase but with the rest, I have not
really succeeded.

Please help me out with two issues:
1. Is it any, working, merely Javascript (no java, or FF extension, I
mean) based example on the net which signs/encrypts/decrypts text?
2. As far as I have seen the crypto is not able to crypt/decrypt. Is
there any workaround for this?
3. I created a few certificates with
https://digitalid.verisign.com/client/class1Netscape.htm and I just
cannot get how the VeriSign website starts to use my SC reader / token
after submitting a the form. It truly does.

Is there any place with a comprehensive documentation within this subject?

Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

Regards,
Zoltán Tóth
