It will not go down. It's only the percentage of user using Firefox that will go down.

Please note that we've seen *one* knowledgeable enough webmaster report here that the number of Firefox users had gone down on his website as a consequence of this, with almost no reaction on the group.

Most webmasters who do that sort of stupid thing also don't care that the number of firefox users goes down. Most probably their reaction will be something like : "Oh ! I see that the hype around that so-called Firefox browser is definitively going doing nowadays".

And that *one* knowledgeable enough webmaster was disapointed to see less firefox user, but not really decided to change his website, and instead thinking about how firefox should change it's behaviour.

The mozilla community may think this should not happen, but the attitude of "We won't change anything. They will end up seeing the error in their way" is not one that's very effective.
