In response to recent comments in this newsgroup, I have overhauled the NSS web page entitled "Getting Started with SSL" at http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/ref/ssl/gtstd.html
I believe all the example steps there now work correctly (for the first time in a long time :-/ ). Please email any feedback concerning correctness or clarity to me, or to this list.
