Well, you must know that, since you put this information at the 
"Pending" page in first place, I just followed the links there. We 
shouldn't assume anything when evaluating CAs either.
But in any case this CPS is still very  much relevant EVEN if Comodo 
doesn't actively issue certificates according to this CPS anymore, 
because the intermediate CA certificate seems to be still valid and 
seems to be mentioned in the version 3 CPS and their certificates carry 
a lifetime of up to ten years and beyond.

Nevertheless the questions I asked are still valid since their version 3 
CPS has the same content. I can find the relevant sections later on, the 
only thing which differs as I can see is the section concerning relying 
parties. I haven't gone through the other CPS yet, but I guess this is a 
good opportunity doing so.
