You can close this bug. When I builded JSS for win9x (instead of downloading
only for WinNT available version from ftp.mozilla.org) it started working. I didn't realize that there are two incompatible versions of nspr (win32) (one that firefox and/or nss is using and one JSS (offical build) is using). If you need my build of JSS Win9x 4.2.5 I can provide it, so you can upload it to ftp.mozilla.org. When building nss I get (although I can then build jss regardless): Using vc6, mozilla-build http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/nss-3.11.4/nss-3.11.4-build.html cd WIN954.0_OPT.OBJ ; sh /c/jssCVSbuild/mozilla/security/nss/cmd/shlibsign/sign.sh /c/jssCVSbuild/mozilla/dist/WIN954.0_OPT.OBJ \ /c/jssCVSbuild/mozilla/security/nss/cmd/shlibsign/WIN954.0_OPT.OBJ WIN95 /c/jssCVSbuild/mozilla/dist/WIN954.0_OPT.OBJ/lib \ /c/jssCVSbuild/mozilla/dist/WIN954.0_OPT.OBJ/lib/softokn3.dll /c/jssCVSbuild/mozilla/security/nss/cmd/shlibsign/WIN954.0_OPT.OBJ/shlibsign -v -i /c/jssCVSbuild/mozilla/dist/WIN954.0_OPT.OBJ/lib/softokn3.dll Generating DSA Key Pair....Generating PQG Params: An I/O error occurred during security authorization. make[2]: *** [../../../../dist/WIN954.0_OPT.OBJ/lib/softokn3.chk] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/c/jssCVSbuild/mozilla/security/nss/cmd/shlibsign' make[1]: *** [libs] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/c/jssCVSbuild/mozilla/security/nss/cmd' make: *** [libs] Error 2 Lp, Matej "Glen Beasley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > hello, > > JSS is open source and you're capable of building (also contributing to) > JSS yourself. > Please build the WIN95 version yourself. > > We provide some binary releases, as a courtesy, to ftp.mozilla.org but we > cannot > provide all releases, nor all variants of all platforms that can be > supported. > > http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/jss/ > http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/jss/jss_build_4.2.5.html > > If you are using JSS as a JCA provider, read this document to find out how > JSS supports (and doesn't support) the JCA specifications. > http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/jss/provider_notes.html > > Note: Apply for your own JCE code-signing certificate following the > procedure at > http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/security/jce/HowToImplAJCEProvider.html#Step%205 > > hope this helps, > > glen > > > > Matej Spiller-Muys wrote: >> libnspr vs nspr issue seems to be because JSS uses NT build of nspr, >> while firefox uses win9x version. >> >> Is it possible to compile working jss using win9x version of nspr (due to >> missing pr_nt_cancelio)? >> >> ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/nspr/releases/v4.6/README >> WIN95 vs. WINNT >> >> The WIN95 configuration is a generic WIN32 build that works on >> all versions of 32-bit Windows: Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4.0, >> 2000, XP, and Server 2003.
